Building Success
Without Losing Yourself
I help hospitality leaders carry responsibility without burning out, losing clarity, or losing who they are.
Running a successful hospitality business should not require constant self sacrifice. Real success is not about working harder. It is about building a business that can grow without consuming the person running it.
Who Am I?
I am a hospitality consultant, speaker, and leadership mentor who works with owners and senior leaders operating under sustained pressure.
I believe running a great business should not come at the cost of your health, your relationships, or your sense of self.
My path into this work did not start with coaching. It started with lived experience.
When I was a kid, I sat in the passenger seat of my dad’s car while he sang loudly with the windows down, completely lost in the music. People stared. I told him it was embarrassing. He turned the music off, looked at me, and said, “Never let what other people think of you change who you are or what you do.” Then he turned the music back up and carried on singing.
I never forgot that moment. But somewhere along the way, I stopped living by it.
As the founder of Ojo Rojo, a multi award winning restaurant and mezcal cocktail bar in Bournemouth, I spent nearly a decade inside the chaos, creativity, and constant pressure of hospitality. I carried staff livelihoods, finances, systems, customers, reputation and expectations all at once. I poured my time, energy and identity into the business. When things went well, I felt like I was enough. When they didn’t, I questioned everything.
Over time, I stopped noticing where the business ended and I began.
I ignored the early warning signs because the business needed me. I believed carrying everything was strength. Eventually that belief led to burnout, panic attacks, and a forced reckoning with how I was living and leading.
That moment changed how I understand success.
True success is not just growth, awards or momentum. It is clarity of mind, steadiness under pressure, strong relationships and the ability to enjoy what you are building while you are building it.
Now my work is about helping other hospitality leaders avoid learning those lessons the hardest way.
Creating Awareness Under Pressure
My mission is to help hospitality owners and leaders build businesses that support their lives rather than consume them.
Through consultancy, content and conversation, I help leaders see how pressure, responsibility and identity are really interacting beneath the surface. When those dynamics go unexamined, burnout, resentment and emotional volatility quietly creep in. When they are understood, leadership becomes steadier and businesses become healthier.
This work is about learning to lead without losing yourself. When leaders are grounded, their businesses stop relying on adrenaline and sacrifice to function.

Vision
A New Standard for Hospitality Leadership
I believe hospitality is entering a necessary shift.
A shift away from glorifying exhaustion and towards sustainable leadership. A world where owners and managers can run thriving businesses while remaining present with the people they love and connected to who they are outside of work.
I see hospitality as a place where creativity, community and wellbeing sit side by side. Where success feels good on the inside, not just impressive on the outside.
Values
Honesty Over Hype
Real conversations about real pressure. No pretending everything is fine when it isn’t.
Human First, Business Second
The business reflects the state of the person leading it. Supporting the leader supports the business.
Progress, Not Perfection
Sustainable change happens through small, consistent shifts. Not burnout inducing overhauls.
Community and Connection
Leadership does not have to be lonely. Shared understanding reduces isolation and restores perspective.
Leading With Heart (and Systems)
Care alone is not enough. Clear systems, boundaries and rhythm allow leaders to care without burning out.
Take The Business/Wellness Quiz
A short, honest self assessment designed for hospitality leaders operating under pressure.
This is not a personality test and it is not a score for the sake of it. The Business and Wellness Quiz helps you understand how your business demands and personal capacity are really interacting beneath the surface.
It looks at how you lead yourself, how you structure your time, how much pressure you are carrying and where imbalance is quietly building. The goal is clarity, not judgement.
In a few minutes, you will see what is working, what is wobbling and where change would reduce strain before burnout, resentment or exhaustion make those decisions for you.
Your business should support your life, not consume it.
What Is my LEAD Well Framework?
The LEAD Well framework is a pressure informed leadership model built for hospitality.
It focuses on four core areas that determine whether a leader can operate sustainably under load.
Look Inward
Understanding how pressure is shaping behaviour, identity and self worth.
Establish Rhythm
Creating structure that reduces cognitive load and stops the business hijacking every day.
Align Your Energy
Recognising capacity limits and regulating stress before survival mode becomes normal.
Direct with Clarity
Leading without emotional volatility by setting boundaries, delegating cleanly and reducing dependency.
Together, these pillars help leaders move from endurance based leadership to steady, conscious leadership.

“I hoped Trevor’s coaching would help me take stock and point me back towards the creative space I had when building my business. What I learned was that I hadn't been giving myself or my team space to grow and rest.
Properly training and allowing my team to grow was more attainable and necessary than burning myself out. I came away with tools to manage my time, plan ahead, and compartmentalise work.
If you feel the walls closing in, take a chance on working with Trevor. It alleviated my anxiety.
